BACK TO BACKLineUp

It is an enjoyable vocabulary practice activity in which students enjoy too much.
  • Make two groups in the classroom
  • Ask them to line up in front of the board
  • Show the secret word to the students standing at the back.
  • Those students try to write the word between the shoulder of the next student using their forefinger
  • Each student repeats the same procedure for the following student.
  • As soon as the student at the forefront comprehend the word that is written on his back, write the secret word on the board and gets a point for his team.
  • The students at the forefront go to the back row and the game goes on in the same style until all the students come to the board to write.

SECRETARY RUNNER GAME

runner It is a kind of dictation activity in which the students compete with each other as groups. At first, choose a short text and make about 4 or 5 copies. Paste them on different corners of the classroom. Make groups of three or four and ask your groups to choose a secretary who will never run during the game except writing down what the runners dictate. The other groups’ members will be the runners whose missions are to run to the text that are assigned them, read and memorize a line of the text and then run back to the writer to dictate what they remember. This goes on until the text is fully copied. The teams score points in the order in which they finish. The groups who have finished early read out their copied text.
