You should make an effort continually to keep your lessons more interesting and enjoyable.  At this juncture, games help us to sustain the students’  interest and work. This is an enjoyable game for practicing action verbs and adverbs.
  • One student has to think of a verb, but not tell the others.

FAST AND FASTER

 
It is a competitive and enjoyable game for students to practice speaking and revising certain vocabulary words.
  • Ask students to be pair. One of the students will be the listener and the other one will be the speaker until the end of the game.

It is an effective activity for students to get the practice they need in certain categories.

VocBox-game is an enjoyable and competitive vocabulary activity that you can apply at the end of the units.
  1. decide on your vocabulary list and prepare your questions related to them. The questions might be based on definitions, antonomys, synonmys, pictures or situations about the target words.

NAME & COUNTRY

Name& Country should be one of the oldest games that all of us played in our childhood. This game can be played by more than two students or in big groups.

CAR - RACE

1. Form groups of 3 or 4 in your class
2. Ask each group draw a picture of a car on a piece of paper. They should give a name to their cars.

PICTO- STORY

  • Draw a big car on the board.
  • Ask the students to come to the board and add an image (e.g. a girl, sun, ice cream, etc.. )to the picture on the board.

  • Draw the following chart on the board and give a number on each square.
  • Form groups of three / four of the students and ask them to determine a group symbol.

It is an enjoyable vocabulary practice activity in which students enjoy too much.
